Christmas Colors
Christmas is all about bright, sparkling colors lighting up the long winter nights. Red and green, in particular, are two Christmas symbols that are instantly recognizable—and can instantly put you in the holiday spirit. It wouldn’t even feel like the holiday season without those Christmas colors.
For hundreds of years, red and green have been the traditional colors of Christmas. The roots of the use of the red and green colors can be traced back through the centuries, to a time when the colors themselves had symbolic meaning. The history of the Christmas colors is a long winding road. Yet they have stood through the years.
Other holiday colors include, gold, silver, blue, white and purple.
Christmas is jolly, magical and beautiful and so are the Christmas colors. Traditionally, the Christmas color palette features the colors of Nature dominant in winter, green, red and white, displayed in infinite combinations. These days everyone has their own traditions including colors to decorate with.
