Be Colorful

Be Colorful

Color is all around you, bright colors, light colors, all in various shades and hues. Color affects us in different ways. Color affects our moods and energy levels.

My favorite colors are red and yellow. What are you favorite colors?

What colors don’t you like? I don’t like having walls of brown or some shades of green surrounding me. I like my green and shades of brown in nature. The green leaves of the trees and plants, the grass or the brown dirt and sand but I wouldn’t by a brown couch or paint a wall a shade of green.

The colors you are exposed to everyday affect you. Reds and yellow make me alert and happy. Blue makes me calm. Brown depletes me. Green makes me uncomfortable in large doses.

Color philosophy is used in designing homes, shops, and you can even find out what your color palette is best for your wardrobe.

Each color is associated with different traits.

Yellow is associated with being energetic, stimulates creativity, lifts mood, mind alert or fearful, or over stimulate making you irritable

Red is associated with love, excitement, motivating, ware or irritability and anger.

Orange is associated with being social, creativity, energetic activity or nervousness and hyper-activity

Blue is associated with soothing, clam, peaceful, cooling, communication and can be depressing

Green is associated with balance, harmony, and can be both energizing and restful, or it can induce feelings of indecision, jealously and laziness.

Purple is associated with calm, soothing, spiritual, inspirational or mental fatigue and obsessiveness.

Which do you agree with? Which do you disagree with?

Our person reaction may or may not match the basic color associations.

How you react to color and to each color affects how you feel when you are surrounded by that color is what matters.

So what is your color feeling chart look like? Think about how you react to each of these colors and if there is a different color that affects you strongly write it down.

Look around your home. Are you surrounded by colors that support you or drain you? Start adding colors that will support you. You bedroom should be calming, your work area should provide you with energy and creativity. Surrounding yourself with colors that promote desired feelings will impact your overall well-being.

But color impacts your life even beyond your environment.

You yourself should be colorful! Being colorful is shines through you, your personality, your character and how you express yourself. Everything that makes you-you makes you interesting, makes your life interesting. Be interesting. Be fun. Be lighthearted. Let your colors shine through you.

How are you colorful in your life? Where are you colorful in your life? What makes you colorful? Where can you be more colorful in your life?

Live your life being colorful. There is no advantage of blending in, your colorful side is much more fun and energizing for you and the people around you.

There are a variety of shades and hues in nature and there are a variety of shades and colors of you. When you express yourself authentically, when you are happy, joyful and playful you emit a rainbow of colors of energy.

So express yourself in color. Dress in your favorite colors, in bright colors. Eat colorful food. Play, have fun, laugh, delight in the pleasures of life.
