Deck the Halls

Decorating is an important part of the holidays. It makes our home and lives festive and cheer. Familiar holiday decorations trigger our nostalgic, happy memories about ourselves and our loved ones. It reminds us of happier times and traditions.

Christmas decorations stir up feelings of pure joy and can literally make you happy. Not only can it influence your mood but can increase your productivity and even your confidence.

How does holiday decorating make you feel?

How do you decorate for the holidays? Do you jump in and do it all at once from tree to stockings? Or do you do a little over time leading up to Christmas?

Do you use family decorations that you have had handed down from generation to generation or have you gathered your own new decorations that speak to you now in the present moment of your life?

It is important to decorate but the decorations you use should be either sentimental to you or be things that you love and bring a smile to your face.

So as you pull out the decorations but use only the ones that make you happy. Mix and match old and new items. Go all out. Find as many decorations as you can that lift your spirit, your mood, your energy.
