Mad Hatter Day
Remember Alice in Wonderland?
Did you read the book or see the movie?
Who was your favorite character? Why?
In the story the Hatter is found switching places at the table at any given time, making short, personal remarks, asking unanswerable riddles, and reciting nonsensical poetry, all of which eventually drives Alice away.
Although there are many interpretations of the Mad Hatter. What do you see? How does his character make you feel?
On the Mad Hatter’s had were the numbers 10/6 which was the price of the hat, 10 shillings and 6 pence and became the date of celebrating Mad Hatter Day.
Mad Hatter day is celebrated by wearing a hat – preferably a top hat of some kind – and engaging in all sorts of silly fun.
