Sail into the Wind

Sail into the Wind

Move forward even when it seems like you are going against the wind. The trick is to use the wind and the sea to your advantage.

Sailors know that sometimes to get where you are going, to move in the direction you want to go you must learn to sail into the wind.

It takes learning how to maneuver the sails, and zig zag your way so that you are not heading directly into the wind but zig-aging  changing the boats direction from  one side to the other.  In this way you still head forward in the direction you want to go it just takes more work and a little longer to get there.

Sometimes in life we need to zig-sag around an obstacle in your way. By making a few adjustments along with some focused concentration you can maneuver your way around whatever is in your way.

It’s not always easy, it does require extra work and it will slow you down and your arrival time at your destination maybe later than you had planned but you can and will get there.

There is nothing like being on the water, with the wind in your face.

To understand and learn to believe in the power of using of what may seem to be obstacles to move you forward go sailing. If you can’t go sailing (with someone who a seasoned sailor) just take a boat ride.

There are many different options to get on the water and feel the wind. Explore options for a boat tour on a lake, or in the harbor or along the coast.

Make plans to learn about sailing or enjoying a leisurely boat trip.
