Compassion

When we thing of Compassion we think about having sympathy and concern for others.  There are many ways that you show compassion for others. Often you probably do it instinctively every day.

But sometimes the person you need to be more compassionate is – is yourself.

How many times do you scold yourself with negative talk? It doesn’t matter if it is for doing something wrong or not doing something good enough or not doing something you should have done it’s all negative self-talk.

How many times do you say you are not good enough or that you need to change to be better or acceptable or good enough?

The only thing that needs to change is your negativity towards yourself. You need to be compassionate towards yourself.

Have compassion for yourself just as you would for someone else. It is ok to make mistakes, to have fear, to do things only as well as you can in that moment.

Forgiving and nurturing yourself improves you overall health, wellbeing, relationships, reduces anxiety and depression,

Practice self-compassion. Be kind to yourself. Be understanding with yourself. Forgive yourself. Comfort your body, mind and spirit, practice mindfulness, be patient and understanding with yourself. Give yourself encouragement. Be your own cheerleader.

Respect and Honor Yourself just the way you are.
