Contemplation

Contemplation is the practice of being fully present—in heart, mind, and body—to what is in a way that allows you to creatively respond and work toward your dreams and goals and desires.

Sometimes you just need to take a break. Take a day off from life, all or your chores, responsibilities, and endless list of things to get done.

Take a day to spend to yourself. To be present with yourself and hear what is really deep in your soul.

Take a day to observe your thoughts or think about something deeply.

Some of the most common forms of contemplation include meditation, mindfulness, yoga, qigong, tai chi, and contemplative prayer

To help you get into a place of contemplation;

Study a piece of art, or listen deeply to some music. Contemplate your life, your dreams, your desires, and your wishes.

Eat primarily fresh foods, eat primarily fresh, organic foods, or indulge in your favorite dishes and desserts. Contemplate why you eat what you eat.

Do some yoga, get a massage, do some kind of body work, shifting your energy within you. See what thoughts arise. Contemplate what your body is telling you.

Spend more time in nature, contemplate the world around you, the beauty of nature, or the circle of life.

Contemplation calms your mind and spirit. Thus, it can help you relieve worries and stress. It also leaves room for your mind to wander and then to focus again. This helps you clarify our thoughts and have new ideas.

Taking a day of contemplation you will return to your day to day life with renewed energy, enthusiasm, peace, focus, values and purpose.
