Spinning Your Wheels is part of Getting Unstuck

There are days that seem like you are just spinning your wheels, going through the motions of the day.

Working, doing chores, taking care of what needs to be done. Yet we don’t see or feel any progress. We keep thinking that we are not getting anywhere at all.

It can drag on day after day. Sometimes it last month after month. By then we are feeling down, frustrated, like we are stuck forever in an unending circle.

Getting stuck is what lets us know that it is time to make changes, time to remember where we are heading and what really matters.

We have been stuck and not moving in the right direction for ourselves or maybe we had to stop to take care of someone we care about.

Spinning our wheels is the first step to getting unstuck. It makes us realize that something isn’t right inside us. It makes us begin to look at ourselves and our life. It makes us notice how we feel. We realize that we aren’t moving forward in any direction that makes us feel excited or joyful.

Spinning our wheels leads us into asking ourselves questions that can help us get unstuck.

When you feel like you are spinning your wheels, then you know you need to get unstuck. Most often it takes time to notice that we are spinning our wheels because it’s just one area of our life that we are spinning our wheels in.

To get unstuck just take a moment to listen to your heart. What is it telling you?

Are you taking care of yourself? Are you doing activities that make you happy? Have you been focusing on your priorities and values?

It’s ok to be stuck and spinning your wheels, it will lead you to reevaluating and get clear again on what is important to you.

Reconnect to what is inside you, to what you feel, what gives you joy. Life is always a process or back and forth, give and take. It is the process of our life that is where our experiences take place. It is in those experiences where we learn what matters most to us.

The process is what matters even more than the end goal. Spinning our wheels is part of the process. Be ok with spinning your wheels and know that you can and will get unstuck and more forward again.

Sometimes you need to take a pause and notice what is going on within you and around you to get where it is you want to go.

Sometimes you have to spin your wheels in order to leap forward.

Is there an area of your life where you feel like you are spinning your wheels and getting nowhere fast? If so,
