What is a hot summer day, a summer picnic or cookout without watermelon?

Watermelon is a summer time treat.

Biting into a slice of watermelon is a right of summer passage.

Watermelon is versatile and there are many ways to prepare and serve it. The whole watermelon is eatable although many people don’t eat the rinds. It is healthy and there are many ways to enjoy a watermelon from eating it to carving it.

Watermelon is made up of mostly water so hydrate up. Yet it also contains some nutrients such as Vitamin A, B6 and C and is a heart healthy snack.

There are the traditional ways of slice it up or chopping it into squares and just drip it all over the place. Enjoy!

Watermelon makes a variety of great snacks. You can add watermelon to make a healthy meal or even make a meal out of watermelon. How about watermelon pizza? Or gelato? Or bruschetta? Or salsa?

And don’t forget some watermelon juice to go along with making a delicious summertime drink.
