What foods make you think of spring?

Foods that are ripe during spring include asparagus, spinach, peas, artichoke, cabbage, carrots, and strawberries.

Go to the store and plan a meal around using as many as these foods as you can.

Make yourself a special spring feast. Host a spring feast for family and friends. Or have a pot luck and have everyone cook and bring their favorite spring food.

Look up some spring recipes, Start eating more fruits and vegetables. Learn about seasonal cooking.

Some spring meals include spaghetti with asparagus, chicken stew with peas, onion soup, rhubarb pie, strawberry shortcake, spinach lasagna, and sweet-and-spicy chicken with cauliflower and carrots. Research for other spring recipes.

Take a cooking class. Learn to prepare spring foods from around the world.
