How is Your Self-Care Practice Going?

Hopefully by now you have decided that taking care of yourself and nurturing your well-being is important. Taking time for self-care and self-nurturing activities is hard for many of us to practice consistently.

When you get busy and life is moving along around you the first person you but on the back burner is yourself. It is important that you take care of yourself in order to best meet the demands of everyday life and take care of those you love. Taking care of your physical body is necessary for you to have energy and health.

Your health and well-being matter. Your happiness and quality of life matter. Because of that you must step up your self-care practices so that you are not just staying healthy enough to do the things you need to do every day. You deserve to live your best life, to follow your dreams and have more than your basic needs met.

By having an enriching self-nurturing practice you feed your emotional, mental and spiritual aspects not just your physical being.

Self-care should be a regular practice. Use small simple practices like morning and evening routines, good sleep patterns, being kind to yourself, and paying attention to your breathing.  Build in large self-care self-nurturing times like taking time to play, sing, dance, have fun, do something new or different, change things up, enjoy great food, take a long walk, and spend a day puttering!

There are many more ways to enjoy self-care and self-nurturing activities than I have touched on here in our short month of February. Keep exploring and learning new ways to add self-care and self-nurturing practices into your day, into your life.

You will have times when self-care is minimal or non-existent, as soon as you catch yourself not including you self in taking care of what needs to be done, stop and breathe. Then choose one of your favorite self-care practices and schedule it back into your day.

Maintain Your Self-Care Practice.

Remember Your Self-Care and Self-Nurturing is Just as Important as those You are taking care of.

Make Sure Your Self-Care

is on Your To-Do-List
