What are You Fishing For?

Fishing is a fun way to relax and have fun. It takes patience to throw the line out and wait. While waiting you can enjoy a conversation, read a book, meditate at the water.

Just remember to keep your eye on the line. You never know when something will bite. And then it’s time to get excited and use your skills at bringing the fish in without it getting off the hook. And you never know until you reel it in what kind of fish or something else you have catch.

Fishing is a great metaphor for life. We set our goals and take the steps forward. It takes time and patience until steady progress begins to take happen. And then once it happens you must be alert and use your skills to reach your goal.

It might slip away and you have to try again. You might end up with a completely different result but it just might be something more fun and exciting.

What are you fishing for? Go fishing and contemplate what it is in life you watch to catch but be patient and open to what actually shows up. And make sure you enjoy the minutes you are waiting for that goal so that they don’t slip by because they may just be precious moments.

Anticipation and waiting are the fun part of fishing and life. The catch is just a moment of excitement.
